Life as we know it on Facebook changes forever today! Facebook has rolled out it’s new and (we are happy to say) improved ‘Like’ button today after testing it in a select number of countries around the world! Work began on the Reactions after Zuckerberg stated “I want to really make it easy for people to give other types of feedback than the Like button in News Feed.”
Let’s break it down…
Like – You are still be able to see the ‘Like’ button on posts, but it stands out in a brighter blue now. If you click and hold on it the Like will expand to reveal the other reactions: Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, and Angry. If you’re a keen social media queen you might be excited to see that instead of a ‘Like’ count you’ll see a total ‘Reaction’ count, but don’t worry you’ll be able to see which one of your friends likes a post rather than LOVES it if you click into your reaction count!
Love – Sometimes Liking isn’t enough- when you want to click Like 1 million times- that’s when you Love!
Wow – Shocked? Surprised? Or just downright flabbergasted? Get ready for a WOW
Haha – The new and improved lol, see something funny? Let your friends know it deserved a laugh by reacting with a Haha.
Sad – Sometimes when you see a friends post about a tragedy or something that has upset them, it doesn’t feel right to Like it, and commenting can be awkward, but you still want to express your support to them.
Angry – While there’s no “Dislike” button, but if you see something you don’t like, this will definitely show your thumbs down!
